The No.1 reason behind this problem is often related to DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) settings. What is IP Address?

An IP address (Internet Protocol address) is a unique identifier assigned to each device connected to a network. It is essential for devices to communicate with each other over the internet or a local network (LAN).

Private IP addresses are used within internal networks. They are assigned by network devices, such as routers, to identify and communicate with devices within a network. Private IP addresses have different ranges based on the class configurations of IPv4 addresses. The most commonly used private IP address ranges are:

Class A: 10.0.0.0
Class B: 172.16.0.0
Class C: 192.168.0.0

*simply put, you should choose one class and change the green part from 1 to 254.alocate unique number to each device

You can choose any class above for your local network between NVR and cameras

For example, a device on a LAN may have the private IP address 192.168.0.10. Private IP addresses are used to ensure the security and efficient allocation of IP addresses within a network. They can be reused on different networks without conflicts

What is DHCP?

DHCP, or Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, is a network service responsible for assigning IP addresses to network devices Automatically. When it comes to NVRs, DHCP plays a crucial role in connecting the NVR to your cameras and enabling communication between them. By automating the network configuration process, DHCP simplifies the setup and maintenance of your surveillance system. it would be better to assign static ip addresses on your cameras but with the nvr we can enable DHCP to have an automatically assigned IP address on it on the same range of network with your router, so they can communicate & find each other.

How to Configure Router as DHCP Server?

This is not your job! But if you are working on a residential project, 99% of the time internal router has enabled the DHCP Server. And if you work in an industrial or large commercial project, you can get help from a network technician.

How to Configure NVR as DHCP Client?

To configure an NVR (Network Video Recorder) as a DHCP client, follow these steps:

  1. Connect the NVR to your network using an Ethernet cable.
  2. Power on the NVR and wait for it to boot up completely.
  3. Access the NVR’s configuration settings using NVR GUI or web interface. in order to access web interface, enter the NVR’s Default IP address into the browser’s address bar.
  4. Login to the NVR’s web interface using the administrator credentials.
  5. Locate the network settings or network configuration section in the NVR’s interface.
  6. Look for the DHCP option and enable it. This will allow the NVR to obtain an IP address automatically from the DHCP server on your network.
  7. Save the settings

The NVR should receive an IP address from the DHCP server on your network. You can verify this by checking the network settings or using a network scanning tool to locate the NVR’s IP address.

Overview

More than 600 pcs of Milesight products were deployed in Gaziantep Railway System “Gaziray”, the most prestige project in southeastern Turkey, to keep all the passengers, staff and property safe at all times.

 

Background

Located on the ancient Silk Road trading route, Gaziantep, one of the country’s commercial giants, is enjoying a flourishing economy while also facing an increasing traffic tension. To solve the transportation problem in Gaziantep, the Suburban System Project “Gaziray” was initiated in 2017 with the cooperation of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and the Republic of Turkey State Railways with the aim of carrying 100,000 passengers every day. As the fourth rail system in the country, the whole line will cover a 25-km distance and serve with 25-30 stations. There will be fast speed trains, subway, etc. To become a favorable and reliable commuting alternative, it is essential for Gaziray to present a secure environment for passengers and staff.

Challenges

As a dispersed railway system with a large daily volume of people, 24/7 safety of everyone become the top priority of Gaziray’s surveillance system. In consideration of complicated lighting situations and management difficulties at those busy stations, it’s undoubtedly a hard task that requires cameras in every node of the railway line monitoring and recording clearly and distinctly at all times of day or night, allowing for automatic incident alerts and alarms and being connected and managed to a centralized system. Solution

For now, 16 stations of Gaziray had been finished and 565 cameras have been installed including 390 pcs of 5MP Vandal-proof Mini Bullet Camera(2.8mm), 64 pcs of 5MP Vandal-proof Mini Bullet Camera(6mm), 103 pcs of 5MP Vandal-proof Mini Dome Camera and 8 pcs of 5MP IR Mini Dome Camera. Additionally, there are also 32 pcs of 4K Pro NVR MS-N7016-UH, 5 pcs of 4K Pro NVR MS-N7032-UH and 1 pc of 4K Pro NVR MS-N8064-UH employed to connect and manage all cameras and to be responsible for those separate stations’ security.

It is a large scale residential community, which is divided into villa clusters grouped in four distinct architectural themes, Arabian, Desert, Mediterranean and Contemporary with a central down town area.

Al Reef villas will comprise over 2300 villas, over 1800 apartments in a mix of studios, a four star hotel and a retail area. Such a commerce and residence area will be need surveillance security for local property management. The relevant Consultants have been appointed to release a tender for this project. The Consultant intends to select a master system Integrator by competitive process to design, develop, implement and maintain a surveillance security system for both commerce and residence area for a period of 5 years after system go live. Challenge

Due to the high requirements for safety, security and monitoring for APEC VIP delegates, Jacksons International Airport’s VIP Terminal was required to provide maximum viewing of the whole area concerned and detailed images for clearly knowing about the situations. Solution

Different network camera models cooperating with Milesight CMS formed a strong line of defense to ensure the safety of the VIP terminal. However, in recent years, this critical power infrastructure has become the target for PV module theft, cable theft and other related crimes, resulting in vastly expensive and disruptive damage and losses to the power provider and users. As such, it is necessary to protect the most vulnerable and remote PV Solar plant site with the latest electronic security solution to effectively prevent and combat this problem.

As the technology blueprint planned to install the cameras covering the plant perimeter to detect and deter the intruder while set the central management in the control building, then how to record the critical and effective videos via cameras and get the remote connection became the key parts. It required the cameras to be scenario-adapted with certain must-have functions working in the difficult weather and light conditions, which was really challenging.

Solution
