The High School campus currently operates approximately 106 cameras on a legacy,
non-Verkada video surveillance system. The existing cameras terminate at an on-premises
recording device (NVR) connected to the District's network. The District intends to replace the
existing non-Verkada cameras and supporting equipment with the proposed Verkada solution.
Existing network cabling may be reused where it is in acceptable condition and supports the
proposed cameras; vendors shall verify cabling adequacy during the mandatory walkthrough
and site assessment. The proposal shall state whether existing cabling and infrastructure will be
reused or replaced, on a location-by-location basis. All existing cameras, the existing recorder,
and any related legacy equipment shall be decommissioned and removed, with disposal
coordinated with ECSD. The District's current camera count is provided for reference only; the
total number of proposed cameras shall be determined through the vendor's site assessment
and proposal.
The campus includes classrooms, administrative offices, athletic facilities, parking areas,
exterior walkways, athletic fields, maintenance areas, auxiliary buildings, entrances, and other
areas identified during the mandatory walkthrough.

The vendor shall propose current Verkada CD-series dome cameras or other current Verkada
camera models specifically suited to the intended installation location.
The vendor shall identify the exact model number, resolution, lens characteristics,
environmental rating, storage capability, analytics, and included features for every proposed
camera.
All proposed cameras shall meet or exceed the following minimum requirements unless a more
appropriate Verkada model is recommended for a specific application.
Indoor Cameras
Indoor cameras shall meet or exceed the following minimum specifications:
● Verkada CD-series dome camera or approved current Verkada equivalent.
● Minimum resolution of 5 megapixels.
● Compact, discreet dome form factor suitable for school interiors.
● Vandal resistance of IK08 or better.
● Wide field of view appropriate for classrooms, corridors, offices, common areas, and
entrances.
● Power over Ethernet (PoE) and IP-based networking.
● Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) or equivalent image-enhancement capability.
● Appropriate low-light performance for interior school environments.
● On-camera processing and storage consistent with the Verkada Command architecture.
● Person and vehicle detection or equivalent Verkada analytics, where supported by the
proposed model and license.
● Integrated infrared illumination for low-light conditions.
Outdoor Cameras
Outdoor cameras shall meet or exceed the following minimum specifications:
● Verkada CD-series outdoor dome camera or approved current Verkada equivalent.
● Minimum resolution of 5 megapixels.
● Weatherproofing of IP67 or better.
● Vandal resistance of IK10 or better.
● Dome-style housing suitable for exterior entrances, parking areas, athletic facilities,
walkways, and perimeter locations.
● Power over Ethernet (PoE) and IP-based networking.
● Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) or equivalent image-enhancement capability.
● Appropriate operating temperature range for local environmental conditions.
● Person and vehicle detection or equivalent Verkada analytics, where supported by the
proposed model and license.
● Mounting hardware and environmental accessories appropriate for the proposed
installation location.
The vendor shall identify any proposed camera that does not meet a stated minimum
requirement and shall provide a written explanation of why the proposed model is appropriate
for the intended location.
